Seal Saver

Custom-made protective boots for hydraulic cylinders. Send us your cylinder's measurements and a few photos, and we'll price one up.

Stop replacing cylinders. Protect them.

A Seal Saver is a flexible boot built to fit one cylinder. It covers the rod at full extension and concertinas as the rod moves, so dust, grit, slurry and chemical washes never reach the chrome or the seals.

  • Stops rod scoring, pitting and corrosion
  • Keeps grit and slurry away from the wiper and seals
  • Takes the knocks that would dent a bare rod
  • Fits with a screwdriver in about ten minutes, no strip-down

Materials

Each boot is made in the material that suits the job. Tell us the environment and we'll recommend one.

Ballistic nylon
to 120 °C
Polyurethane-backed 1050 denier nylon. Shrugs off water, oil, sunlight and abrasion. The everyday choice for most machines.
Kevlar
to 315 °C
Silicone-coated Kevlar twill. Stronger and denser, and resists many chemicals and acids. Suits quarries and demolition.
Aluminised Kevlar
to 260 °C
An aramid blend aluminised on one face to reflect radiant heat, with excellent abrasion resistance.
Coated silica cloth
to 980 °C
Silica fabric with a red silicone coating, for direct heat in steel mills and slag pits. Excellent chemical resistance.
